Testing the Optically Thin Synchrotron Shock Model for Gamma-Ray Bursts Spectra from 2 to 700 keV with BeppoSAX
Abstract
We present preliminary results of the fits with the Optically Thin Synchrotron Shock Modelof GRB time-averaged spectra from 2 to 700 keV basing on BeppoSAX data. This model gives a satisfactory description of the majority of the data. Nevertheless, ∼ 30% need of accounting for substantial radiative cooling of the emitting electrons during the event.
